Our History
In Zagreb, InterCapital Ltd (InterCapital Plc today) was established as a holding company at the end of 2001. In 2002, its ancillary company, InterCapital Securities Ltd, was established and granted a license for securities management by the Croatian Securities Commission. During 2003, InterCapital’s brokerage firm became the largest intermediary on the Zagreb Stock Exchange in terms of total turnover. InterCapital established its second subsidiary, called InterCapital Asset Management (ICAM), at the end of 2004. ICAM Ltd is a complimentary arm whose portfolio of services includes investment fund management and the management of clients’ personal assets. The same year witnessed the launching of Capital One, InterCapital’s first open-end investment fund with a public offering.
Aimed at providing logistics support to its own business development, InterCapital established FundIT in 2005, a company specializing in software development for the finance industry.
During 2006 and 2007, seven new investment funds were launched with either a private or public offering, thus contributing to InterCapital’s status as one of the largest fund management companies in Croatia.
In mid 2007, in the Republic of Serbia, InterCapital established InterCapital Securities AD, its first foreign branch location. The Company became an active market participant, also in 2007, after it was granted a license for securities management by the local Securities Commission.
InterCapital launched its investment banking division in the beginning of 2008 with the aim of becoming a full financial services provider, enabling capital market financing access to our clients, and advising them in matters of mergers and acquisitions.
